CNSF - Stroke (CSC) Day: Stroke Resuscitation Course - Code stroke scenarios require rapid assessment, precise decision-making, and effective team dynamics in high-stakes situations. The SRC addresses the challenges faced by ad hoc teams during stroke emergencies, including cognitive load management, team communication, and situational awareness. Based on the successful SRC-TO (Stroke Resuscitation Course Toronto) model, this course provides participants with practical skills to enhance code stroke competencies through simulation and CRM principles. This session can accommodate 25 individuals.

Learning Objectives:

  • Apply Crisis Resource Management principles specifically adapted for hyperacute stroke care
  • Develop non-technical skills including situational awareness, role clarity, and closed-loop communication
  • Practice management of critical stroke emergencies in a simulated environment
  • Enhance decision-making for thrombolysis, thrombectomy, and complex stroke scenarios
  • Improve team performance during high-cognitive load situations
  • Develop skills for managing stroke-specific complications
