Multidisciplinary Course
Functional neurological disorder (FND) is one of the most common conditions faced in neuroscience clinical services, and there is an increasing emphasis on the role of the neurologist in diagnosing and managing this condition. The past 15 years have brought with them tremendous advances in our understanding of mechanism, diagnostic processes and therapy for FND, all of which will be reviewed in this course. This course will equip attendees to recognize the breadth of presentations of FND, pathophysiologic processes, and therapeutic strategies, while emphasizing the necessity of patient-centered care. By the end of this session, attendees will have the tools to better support their patients in their recovery from this treatable condition.
